“A PLACE WHERE ONE HEART TOUCHES ANOTHER”
OUR CHURCH
The St. James Church of God in Christ is a Church Family of believers who are connected through the Body of Christ and who loves God and believes in the power of God. It is a Church that is framed with the Word of God and embodies the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance . . . (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV). As members, in the Body of Christ, we must not only live in the Spirit, but we must also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:23 KJV).
The Church’s doctrine aligns with the Word of God and is founded on the teachings of the Founding Father and First Senior Bishop of the COGIC, the late Bishop Charles Harrison Mason. Bishop Mason was a true prophetic leader, who believed in the power of prayer and signs and wonders followed his life. Bishop Mason spoke the words “Yes Lord,” as the spirit gave him utterance, and he told the saints that if you say “Yes Lord” (surrendering all) God fulfills Himself in you−God to work His will and do in you. And, except you give God your will, you will never make it. To this day, “Yes Lord,” resonate in the hearts of the saints and throughout the Church of God in Christ organization.
The St. James Family is godly-proud of its Pastor and Church officials. We are thankful for their leadership and appreciate their love and concern for the membership. We give honor and praise to God for all of His many wonderful blessings.
We welcome all people to our Church and to the Body of Christ through salvation. Come grow in Christ with our Church Family….
